This passage truly helped me recently, and I wanted to share it with all of you:
Lord, you have assigned me my portion and my cup; you have made my
lot secure. The boundary lines have fallen for me in pleasant places; surely
I have a delightful inheritance. I will praise the Lord, who counsels me;
even at night my heart instructs me. I have set the Lord always before
me. Because He is at my right hand, I will not be shaken. (Psalm 16:5-8)
When I needed to hear this word from Him, the Spirit brought it to me. I'm praying that it will bless someone's heart as they read it now.
I receive posting daily onto my Facebook page with a "reading for the day". Today's was from Zephaniah. When I saw it, I realized that I had actually never read the book of Zephaniah. So, I went and did that. At the end of that book, after all kinds of prophecies against most of the peoples of the time..... also applicable to our time..... was this beautiful promise:
ReplyDelete14 Sing, O Daughter of Zion; shout aloud, O Israel! Be glad and rejoice with all your heart, O Daughter of Jerusalem! 15 The LORD has taken away your punishment, he has turned back your enemy. The LORD, the King of Israel, is with you; never again will you fear any harm. 16 On that day they will say to Jerusalem, "Do not fear, O Zion; do not let your hands hang limp. 17 The LORD your God is with you, he is mighty to save. He will take great delight in you, he will quiet you with his love, he will rejoice over you with singing." Zephaniah 3: 14-17
OH I LOVE the above comment! For me I have already told the two books and verses I so deeply love and abide by here. This is greatly appreciated. As you said, you never know when what we share will help our Sisters.
