This week we are focusing on praising God, especially for the world He created and the lovely things that greet our eyes each day of spring....
Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. (John 1:3)Each nodding flower and blooming shrub speaks to His work and His majesty.....
But ask the animals, and they will teach you, or the birds in the sky, and they will tell you; or speak to the earth, and it will teach you, or let the fish in the sea inform you. Which of all these does not know that the hand of the Lord has done this? In his hand is the life of every creature and the breath of all mankind. (Job 12:7-10)Let us join the things of this world as they praise Him!
Let the heavens rejoice, let the earth be glad; let the sea resound, and all that is in it. Let the fields be jubilant, and everything in them; let all the trees of the forest sing for joy. Let all creation rejoice before the Lord. (Psalm 96:11-13a)Let everything and everyone praise the Lord!
I’m sitting here with the door open to the sound of birds singing. I think it is finally spring after what seemed like a very long and hard winter. I love the picture this verse puts into my head of even the trees praising God.
