Prayer requests

I'm learning a lot from my grandchildren!
From my two granddaughters, to be specific.
The prayers of kids can be truly eye-opening!
Children may not sit introspectively, "centering themselves" as they say today; in fact, they may not sit still for very long at all. But that doesn't mean that we can't guide them in prayer -- and it certainly does give us food for thought!

Guiding children (whether they're related to us or not) to pray offers them a way to connect with God. Did you know that it's been proven to improve their well-being? Time and again, the studies have confirmed this.
So, when we teach kids to pray, we are giving them a timeless gift -- one that can ultimately change their lives.

I know that some children learn to pray through songs, and some start with movement. Check this out for a great idea for kids:

(Reach toward the sky) "God, you are above..."
(now touch toes) "you are below..."
(hands over heart) "you are inside...."
(large circles with arms) "and you are all around us..."
(reach up again) "I worship you..."
(touch toes) "I give you my life...."
(hands over heart again) "I love you..."
(circles with arms) "with all that I am."

This is a great way to start, especially for active littles who don't want to sit still!

And it might not be a bad way to start our own day! If we have time for the motions, they reinforce the words that we say to the Father . . . go ahead! Try it! (And it never hurts to get moving, either!)

After that, we may be even more ready to reverently pray and study the Word.

Please let us know if there are requests or praises that we can pray about!
