I don't think any of us have ever tried to rob a bank or tried to swindle money away from people. I mean, if you want to get a bit of extra money--how about cheating just a little bit on your tax return? Or, how about insurance companies? I used to know a lady that was an artist at getting disability or getting injured in a shopping place--for the money. I wonder if she was ever caught? One thing for sure...when someone illegally obtains money, they just keep doing it. Why? Because it doesn't last.
As I look at this verse again, I am reminded of today's children. So many are given whatever they want. And therefore, everything is disposable to them. If they aren't careful and it breaks...so what! Go buy another. This is truly very sad. What happened to the time when kids were taught to mow yards in the summer and shovel driveways in the winter? I remember working hard for money--and I made it last and increase!
Hard work always pays.
Well, that takes care of my plans to make big money...
ReplyDeleteWhen I was 12, I babysat countless times for spending money. My daughter worked hard all through high school and college to help us with her expenses. My son was involved in a lot of extra curricular activities but worked when he could. They are 27 and 32, and I just don't see this happening much in the youth of today. There is a sense of entitlement that is rampant. Thus fraud is on the up-rise it would seem.
You are so right about the entitlement thing! Sorry I burst your bubble about your plans for insurance fraud. LOL
