Like ripples in a pond.....
Therefore if you have any encouragement from being united with Christ, if any comfort from his love, if any common sharing in the Spirit,if any tenderness and compassion, 2 then make my joy complete by being like-minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and of one mind. 3 Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, 4 not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others. (Philippians 2:1-4)This week, as we look at how believers are supposed to behave, let's remember that each of us influences others. Like ripples in a pond, how we interact with others will spread out far and wide. Let's make certain that we are behaving like those verses above encourage us to behave!

Thank you!
This has inspired me to do a word study on the Hebrew word "hesed" which is translated lovingkindness in some Bibles and steadfast love in others. Doing this I think can help us understand the heart of God just a little bit better. x

ReplyDeleteIf we all have this motivation in our hearts as we go about our duties and tasks among each other, that our deeds glorify God and not ourselves, a lot of the pride and self righteousness and look at me, praise me behaviours that cause divisions in the church would be eliminated.
