Prayer requests

If there have been any beneficial outcomes during this uncertain time of 2020 (I guess it will be known as the year of the virus, no?), I believe they will be the numbers of people who have returned to paths that we humans walked in the past.
Many more people have gained warmer relationships with family and friends. Many have grown to value the intangible things of this world: a smile, the love of others, the feeling of unity, the desire to serve and help others.  And still others have come to the realization that without God, much of what this world has to offer is simply worthless.
Surely it makes us rejoice to see people relying on our Father and voicing their trust in Him. Many have reached up to realize His hands are already reaching down to help them. In their grief, in their fear, in their despair, He has comforted and consoled them.
The Word tells us that He is our Father.
Yet you, Lord, are our Father.    We are the clay, you are the potter;
    we are all the work of your hand. (Isaiah 64:8)
As a father has compassion on his children,    so the Lord has compassion on those who fear him; for he knows how we are formed,    he remembers that we are dust. (Psalm 103:13-14)
We also read that not only does He have compassion on us, but that He has blessed us abundantly.
Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ. (Ephesians 1:3)
Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows. (James 1:17)
And He will continue to bless us and hear our prayers.
Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need. (Hebrews 4:16)
This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us.  (I John 5:14)
As we have our time of prayer today, let us remember all of the families who have lost loved ones to this terrible new virus. Let's pray also for those who are working so hard to help critically ill people survive. And let's ask God to bless all of His children; to be near all of us; to show us those who could use an encouraging word, a prayer, or a smile.

If there is a prayer request that we can pray with you, please leave a comment so that we can pray specifically for you -- if you have a praise for answered prayer, let us know so that we can rejoice with you!
