Let's join hands across the miles today . . .
Let's join in prayer for those who pause here to study.
I know that there are some who are dealing with physical illness and frailty. Lord, bless their bodies with renewed strength today.
I know some are ministering to others who are sick. Lord, give them the endurance they need, and keep them smiling as they serve, just like you would serve.
Some are dealing with financial setbacks. Lord, bless them with what is needed, and allow them to witness to others of how You provide for us.
Some are fighting off addictions. Lord, make Your home in their hearts; give them Your peace and joy so that they can win the struggle.
I'd like to encourage everyone today in prayer. Make a time today that you get away from all the distractions and the things that would keep our thoughts from settling on our Savior.
God tells us in Isaiah 43:26, "remind Me.....put me in remembrance..." so never underestimate the power of praying His Word back to Him. Pray with verses that address your fears, your pain, your struggle - pray with all you've got, and pray believing that He is going to answer.
Isaiah also tells us that we are made for signs and for witness:
Here am I, and the children the Lord has given me. We are signs and symbols in Israel from the Lord Almighty, who dwells on Mount Zion. (Isaiah 8:18)
Ask our Father to perform His Word in your life, so that you can be a witness for His power and love.
The same Spirit Who raised Jesus from the dead is living in us - ask Him to make sickness flee. If it's His will for the illness to remain, ask Him to fill you anew with that Spirit so that you can endure and show a testimony for Him:
And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies because of his Spirit who lives in you. (Romans 8:11)
We may be separated by miles, but our prayers can connect us to each other and to our Savior. We cannot lay our hands on those who are sick, but let's pray for each other. We cannot hug those who are depressed, but we can pray.
We can claim His promise of a new song of praise; He has promised joy to those who love and obey Him.
He put a new song in my mouth,
a hymn of praise to our God.
Many will see and fear the Lord
and put their trust in him. (Psalm 40:3)
Let's pray.
Please be sure to leave a comment with any prayer request so that we can join you in prayer.
