Proverbs 29:6 Everybody Sing!

An evil man is snared by his own sin, but a righteous one can sing and be glad.

Are you blue today? Are you feeling down?

One of the most famous lines in the Disney movie, Pollyanna, and the book by the same name, is that "there are over 800 happy texts in the Bible." Remember that?

Here is a sampling of those:
Philippians 4:4
Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice!

Psalm 13:5
But I trust in your unfailing love; my heart rejoices in your salvation.

1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
Be joyful always; pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus.

Psalm 40:16
But may all who seek you rejoice and be glad in you; may those who love your salvation always say, "The LORD be exalted!"

Romans 15:13
May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.

Psalm 28:7
The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in him, and I am helped. My heart leaps for joy and I will give thanks to him in song.

Are you smiling yet? I know I am! Let's try today to "make melody in our hearts to the Lord" and to let it come right out in song! Go ahead! Sing right out loud.....you know, it doesn't matter how well we sing -- the Lord is delighted to hear it!

Not only will we feel better, but we may help those around us, too!
