Verses that speak to us

This week I'd like to invite all of our readers to take just a moment to leave a comment on this post in particular. Many times we study our Bible and find gems from God that truly bless and inspire us; we may find "just the right" verse to help us through a difficult situation.

Won't you share with us, if you have found a verse or passage to be helpful in the past week or two? You never know who might really need that verse or insight that you share . . .

Here is one that helped me through a difficult time this past week:
"Do not be afraid, you who are highly esteemed," he said. "Peace! Be strong now; be strong." When he spoke to me, I was strengthened and said, "Speak, my lord, since you have given me strength."  Daniel 10:19

Hoping to hear from you, too . . .

  1. We've been going through a difficult family time as well, this week. I've been feeling that, no matter what happens, someone is going to be disappointed with the eventual results. I spent most of yesterday praying and asking God for words to write, and then writing emails in my head, and finally actually writing the email. With the input of my husband and my son, the email was ammended and sent. And now, this verse "Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand." will be my guide as we wait for the answer to the email.

  2. I know everyone says it, but the 23rd Psalm is always one that gives me peace to recite.
