Gem hunting - verses that inspire

Every so often, we pause to share special verses with each other: verses that have comforted us, or inspired us, or convicted us in the past few weeks.

It stands to reason that we are all probably looking at different verses in our devotions, and when one or two make a real difference in our lives, it's good to share!

Recently I read Isaiah 12:1-3:
In that day you will say:
“I will praise you, Lord.
    Although you were angry with me,
your anger has turned away
    and you have comforted me.
Surely God is my salvation;
    I will trust and not be afraid.
The Lord, the Lord himself, is my strength and my song;
    he has become my salvation.”
With joy you will draw water
    from the wells of salvation.

I'm reading in Sarah Young's Jesus Calling, and the commentary for that day was engaging:
..........think what it means to have Me as your Strength. I spoke the universe into existence; my Power is absolutely unlimited! Human weakness, consecrated to Me, is like a magnet, drawing my Power into your neediness. However, fear can block the flow of my Strength into you. Instead of trying to fight your fears, concentrate on trusting Me. When you relate to Me in confident trust, there is no limit to how much I can strengthen you.
 I hope these verses will be a blessing to you, as they were to me.
