Merry Christmas - see you in 2016!

A Prayer for Christmas Morning, by Robert Louis Stevenson:

The day of joy returns, Father in Heaven, and crowns another year with peace and good will.
Help us rightly to remember the birth of Jesus, that we may share in the song of the angels, the gladness of the shepherds, and the worship of the wise men.
Close the doors of hate and open the doors of love all over the world.
Let kindness come with every gift and good desires with every greeting.
Deliver us from evil, by the blessing that Christ brings, and teach us to be merry with clean hearts.
May the Christmas morning make us happy to be thy children,
And the Christmas evening bring us to our bed with grateful thoughts, forgiving and forgiven, for Jesus' sake.
Amen

I heard Handel's Messiah performed in London's Albert Hall many years ago and never forgot the experience. It was wonderful! Wishing you and your family the happiest of Christmases and a peaceful and healthy new year, Jacque xx

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year Jacque . May you enjoy your day to the fullest. My mother granddaughter and I went to the candlelight service at our church last night. So beautiful. My husband wasn't able to go. Christmas has tired him out. He did enjoy having the grandchildren here the last two days. They sure make the holidays so special. Now back to quiet days. It comes and goes so quickly. Again Merry Christmas and looking forward to your posts in the New Year.
