What are we listening to?

Are you and I sealed vessels?

Or are we opened?

Do we allow the life and joy inside us to spill out?

One way to do that is to sing and enjoy music; it's a wonderful way to praise God and to lift our own spirits, as well as the spirits of those around us.

Recently I remembered this children's song and it "got stuck" in my head:

I am a C
I am a C-H
I am a C-H-R-I-S-T-I-A-N
And I have C-H-R-I-S-T
In my H-E-A-R-T
And I will L-O-V-E E-T-E-R-N-A-L-L-Y.

Did that bring a smile to your face? It did to mine! Isn't it amazing how a song can impact our mood and our day?

What are you listening to, today?

  1. I agree with you about music! I usually have to resort to headphones though, but I love to listen to praise songs, especially the older ones - being ancient myself lol. But I don't know the children's song you mentioned :)

  2. Also agree completely with you about music! I don't remember that particular children's song either.... but do remember how I learned the books of the Old Testament in song. And that's how I still 'know' them! Have to sing them through to get the order straight. Thanks for some great childhood memories today. :)

  3. The kids at our Sunday school loves this snog. They sing it so fast I have a hard time keeping up.
