Prayer requests

These verses have calmed my heart and inspired my soul recently:

Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth.
2Worship the Lord with gladness;
come before him with joyful songs.
3Know that the Lord is God.
It is he who made us, and we are hisa ;
we are his people, the sheep of his pasture.
4Enter his gates with thanksgiving
and his courts with praise;
give thanks to him and praise his name.
5For the Lord is good and his love endures forever;
his faithfulness continues through all generations. (Psalm 100)

We are His. And He is interested in everything about us, every facet of our lives. So much so, that He is delighted when we come to Him with our requests.
Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.“Which of you, if your son asks for bread, will give him a stone? 10 Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a snake? 11 If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him!
          (Matthew 7:7-11)

I hope that if you have a request for prayer, or a praise for answered prayer, that you will let us know in a comment on this post. All of us who read here can join you in prayer and in praise!

  1. Again I want to thank you for this site. It is so encouraging. My husband had a good week this week but he still gets so frustrated. Pray that the tests he needs from the orthopedic surgeon comes soon.

  2. I’d like to give praise, and ask for prayer at the same time. Our beautiful grand daughter was born two weeks ago today. She’s a lovely and contented baby, and such a joy to have around. Because we live in an apartment in their house, we get to see her daily, which is so wonderful! Her Mom, our daughter, has had a difficult time. She ended up having to have a c-section. A week after the surgery, she ended up with an infection, so they had to open up the incision. It’s being packed and having dressings done daily by visiting home nurses. It is healing, and she is up and around again. Please pray for her continued healing, and for her increased comfort in caring for the baby, since for the first 10 days of her life, others had to care for both of them.
